Serenity

The sun was all over my head
And the endless travel down the lane
Those intermittent shadows of the tall trees
When I pass by the river I feel the breeze

Those beauty queens selling the shrimps
And those Yachties’ smile to the Queens
I see a perfect world for the love and lust
Promises they made through the eyes,
Yachties will return, over the thunder in the skies

I see, a child in the arms of a glorious old man
His crooked eyes and those shaky hands
Tells the stories of triumph he brought in his land
Every word he whispers to the child
And every path he shows to his feet
I see a man evolve somewhere beneath

A mother’s voice from a distant farm
For a son who has just returned
I can see his hands full of flowers
And so are there on his mother’s farm
They say the war he fought had brought peace
But more I feel it when I sat down by his mother’s fields

The sun was all over my head
And the endless travel down the lane
